March 7-9, 2023, in Helsinki
During three days in March, we will experiment with tanning leather from fish skins. The workshop is held in Helsinki and is closely linked to the geography and history of the Helsinki bay. Together with Hanna Vainio, Eero Haapanen and Pekka Paer, we explore the Baltic Sea fish and ways to use the skins of local fish. The workshop is a mix of hands-on making and guided tours in the archipelago of Helsinki, and facilitated by the Bioart Society. No previous knowledge is required.
